Gripplis

The Gripplis rarely left their swamps before the great disaster, and were often unknown by other races living just miles from them. When the cataclysm befell the world, they were able to withdraw to their swamps. Most Gripplis communities were already self-sufficient, and simply hid from the encroaching armies, waiting out battles and emerging once the armies had travelled on. This strategy ceased to work as the land around them was occupied. The new occupants warped the world around them, spawning deadly new varieties of plants and animals. These changes made many Gripplis ill. Those that survived were able to secrete the poisons in their swamps as a weapon, giving this ability to their offspring. Now, the Gripplis find themselves in a unique place: populous enough to have power and endangered by the races pushing into their swamps.

In addition to any previous racial abilities and traits:

Gain darkvision 30 ft if they don’t have better.

Gripplis always get the Toxic Skin trait, and they can use it every 1d4 rounds.
